Great job on spreading FUD and half truths. You make it sound like Sony is the ONLY BD hardware manufacturer which is false.
btw, Blu-ray is KILLING HD-DVD right now in sales (2.6:1 according to the latest Nielson/Videoscan numbers). It must be partially due to all of that extra content that you CAN NOT get on HD-DVD from Disney/Buena Vista, 20th Century Fox, Sony, MGM/UA, AND Lionsgate. LAWL!
LMAO @ you and your weak format (HD-DVD)!
Slightly better ... ( 1 year ago by pretender2j)
Slightly better studio support? More like 7 out of 8 for Blu-ray.
Doesn't support iHD? More like Blu-ray has better interactivy in BD-J
Why bother to inovate? Cause another company will and people will stop buying their stuff. It's not like Sony is the only hardware\content manufacturer in the world.
lol@ ps3/brd ... ( 1 year ago by JDF1384)
lol@ ps3/brd fanboys, If HD-DVD fails the owners of those players still have high end upconverting DVD players that didn't cost them a mortgage payment. If BRD fails owners are stuck with costly equipment and a dead gaming console. After doing my homework of both formats I bought HD-DVD, ps3 is the only reason why BRD sales are higher than HD-DVD. Now that the launch buzz is gone, PS3's are sitting on store shelves.
Sony can't do it ... ( 1 year ago by hvw3)
Sony can't do it all, they should stick to one thing sure BD has size but I think HD DVD has better Quality

I made a decision ... ( 6 months ago by TheMadRaver)
I made a decision this week to go with Blue Ray. My allegiance is formed. BRD is going to destroy HD DVD mark my words. I bought a PS3 solely for its blue ray player as it beats standalone units all day. Blue Ray is also a better format overall than HD DVD based on capacity alone. After hooking up my PS3 to my Samsung LCD and playing BR on 1080 P I only wonder why i didn't do this sooner.
