Inspired by the Superman cartoons and Comic books this is an experimental Superman trailer featuring the cast of Smallville. I used photoshop to make all the effects and edited the clips together in Windows Movie Maker.

Parasite is from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, DarkSeid is actually Ang Lee's The Hulk, and Zod is Chronicles of Riddick ( I know everything.)

I ain't a fan of Smallville or Tom Welling, but your trailer, compositing, graphics, music, editing etc are fantastic. I would watch this movie!!
You've done some great work in this trailer.
Darkseid was my favourite, but Zod a close second. A brilliant character to revisit... hopefully.

I'm actually not a huge fan of Smallville either. But I was craving some Super fights in a Superman movie that I decided to make this. Using the Smallville cast was easier than handpicking random actors.
Whats next? Thundercats! I'm 95% done but having a hard time wrapping it up with all the extra work I'm having to do in my job. But it definitely be done before Xmas. And it's Waaaay better than this trailer.

Thanks! Yeah by the time I got to Parasite I was exhausted. I was planning on giving him those white patches he has on his suit in the Cartoon but ended up just adding Purple electricity.

...and I must say it again: This is the BEST fan-made video / trailer based on SMALLVILLE (and the Superman legend) I've ever seen anywhere!
I just wish, that tptb at Warners would take a closer look at this great work. It should inspire them to make the "next" Superman -movie loosely based on the continity of "Smallville" (the could use the complete show like a giant "pilot" for the next movie!). "Superman Returns" was such an awful scripted and acted film. WB should hire Wormie as director! :)

Thank You. Yeah frame by frame manipulation is seldom seen as it's so hard to do.
Check out the Street Fighter 2 Fan Trailer under my favorites. That's a great Fan teaser that's got a lot of these type of effects. The guy made Brad Pitt into Ken and Dolph Lundgren into Guile etc. Very ambitious!

"Superman Returns" wasn't bad. But it lacked the spunky spirit that the Richard Donner films it was trying to emulate; it had a leaden pace. And yes, we need a different villain, other than Lex Luthor, despite Kevin Spacey's wonderful performance. Parker Posey did good too for what she was given.

Wow very well done, where did you get the Darkseid and doomsday characters? the only thing that was a bit odd is that Tom Welling is a lot bigger than chris reaves so his head looked odd on reeves' body

Thanks. Darkseid is manipulated ove Hulk. The quick Doomsday shot was Hulk too.
Yeah, Tom IS a big dude. Unfortunetly I had to make his head that size so it would match with Chris's neck(as best I could)
