They rock more than any bands nowadays! They're like "Slayer" of the 60's before Black Sabbath came at the time!

Blue Cheer are FUCKING AWESOME!!! They really have all the ingredients of a heavy metal band, lots of large amps turned up to max, fuzz distortion and of course long hair!!! Pity I wasn't alive in the late 60s to experience this AWESOME original sound of heavy metal, would of been so awesome. Knowing Blue Cheer still tour today I wonder if they'll ever come to Australia? If they do I'll be down at Ticketek in a flash to get me a ticket to see them!!!

I saw Blue Cheer a couple of times in the late 60's. They used 6 Marshall stacks. They were real loud, but that's the way most bands played back then because PAs werent that good yet. In total, about 300 Watts each, guitar & bass. and about 4000 Watts PA (Crown Amps, a lot of DC300s)

Like you, I admire Whalley's enthusiasm. However, I believe he IS one of the world's greatest. He had a feel that many rock drummers don't get. In my mind this makes him exeptional. Insideoutside had some very unique, creative and heavy drumming. Makes me wanna move! Then again, I'm not necessarily too big on technique. Sincerely...
