Yeah but the problem is that today he brings out much more modern songs, which aren't bad, but which are more commercial-like. He losts a lot of his fans, by doing this. But hasn't regain the love of commercial-fans, because for them Solaar is a guy who has past on and isn't modern anymore.
That's the problem of rappers who want to be between both publics. Today a rapper has to choose more and more between commercial or underground

you're right in one way but don`t forget that to more appreciate his work u need to listen to the whole album then u can still that he get some songs purely for the underground not just singles which are simply comercial product by the way they are promoted...remember also that solaar is a generation the 90`s and believe me this was the golden age of rap and rnb or groove times are changing not always for the better...

Don't worry, I still respect and love MC Solaar ^^.
For me he's still the best rapper with IAM, for the lyrics and the beat too.
I'd say he's even one of the best rappers in this world. And God knows, I like much more the US hip-hop ;)
