According to his publicist---Mac's condition remains unchanged...despite spending several days in treatment.On Friday---the publicist had said the 50-year-old comedian was responding well to treatment. And It was thought he would be allowed to go home shortly.However, based on recent reports--it is believed Mac will remain under medical supervision...but his rep insists he is expected to make a full recovery. Mac's publicist says her client's current illness is NOT related to an inflammatory lung disease the actor also has...That condition has been in remission since 2005.Mac is a Chicago native who lives in the city's south suburbs. When I read on Friday that he was expected to make a full recovery I didn't think it was anything really major besides just pneumonia. Then I woke up Saturday morning to read the headlines Bernie Mac Dies at age 50. I was like what went wrong in less that 12 hours???? But you just never know your day nor hour. Love each other people because we never know when our time will come.

i was in NYC that weekend and they announce that he died from Pneumonia at the age of 50 and they only talked about it for a sec and then they when on to other news but when Tim Russert died the were talking about it for dayz and dayz I DON'T LIKE RACISM, DISCRIMINATION, OR ANY OTHER TYPES OF CRUALTY TO ANOOTHER PERSON BASED ON SKIN

Are you serious?! They're not being racist by not covering the death of Bernie Mac as much as they did that of Tim Russert! Anyone who thinks so is unbelievably ignorant.
Tim Russert was a journalist for NBC's 'Meet The Press' for 17 years. A show which has been on the air for 61 years!
If Bernie Mac was in the news industry I'm sure they'd have covered his death for several days.
Bernie Mac was a comedian who will live on through all the people who were influenced by his great work.

Tell me about it...we've surely lost a lot of great people in the past year or so. It was definitely bittersweet to see the movie, "Soul Men" this past weekend, which featured these 2 now-deceased stars. But it is a fitting tribute to both of these great entertainers. I'd be more than willing to see it again. I sure wish I could've met the Mac. RIP
