Is there any benefit to pulling down the .m2t stream over capturing in final cut. Can you explain why you might want to burn the media stream to CD as you mentioned in the video?

To playback on PS3. I wanted to see the orig quality of my footage without using the HV20 heads. With FCP you will need convert to transport stream - be it a transcode or re-encode it potentially a lossy step that I wanted to avoid for thee purposes of appraising my new HD LCD and HV20.

Nope, DownUnder. I subconsciously 'internationalize' my accent sometimes, I grew up OS attending US international schools so that might mix things up too.
