I read alot of those kinds of "Science Gurus" and its been tested and proven both theoricaly and in practice that this kind of device TAKES more energy than it produces. "magical magnetic rotors" that produce free energy are also FAKE. "magical filters" that break oxygen and hydrogen apart are FAKE too.

Don't build one, don't buy one then! Jesus H christ..i've had a bellyfull of you people rubbishing others who are trying to make this world a better place. If you think it is all fake, don't look at the videos, websites, MPG gains being reported etc, then you'll be happy won't you? Otherwise, if you insist on watching these vids of HHO etc, keep your negative crap to yourself, and allow the REAL scientists (ordinary experimenters) to make unhindered progress.

HHO or hydroxy (the way things are at the moment) does not replace the existing primary ICE fuel. It compliments the fuel by creating conditions where the fuel is burned more efficiently, i.e. allow the petrol or diesel to burn much more completely, thus more MPG even when factoring in the losses by driving the alternator harder. Yes, more fuel is used to gen the amps to make HHO, BUT the fuel burns better, making more power from the same gallon of fuel.

So you could use salt water in an electrolizer. After it gives off its toxic Chlorine gas, you'd evolve a NaOH solution. But as the Cl- contacts the anode, it will eat it - including stainless steel.
Baking soda (NaHCO3) reacts similarly, bubbling off CO2 and leaving NaOH again without any Cl- corrosion. If you use tap water, the CO2 will react with impurities and form scum.
Between NaOH and KOH, the Sodium is more corrosive. It's better to start with KOH than to evolve it.

Makes sense. Salt (NaCl) ionizes in H20 into Na+ and Cl-. The Cl- heads to the anode (+ of an electrolizer), gives up its electron, gets with another Cl and bubbles up as Chlorine gas. The Na+ breaks up the water into NaOH and H3O+. The H3O moves to the cathode where the H gains an electron, combines with another H and forms H2 bubbles. The NaOH remains in solution.
If the Cl2 gas is captured, it could be used to make HCl to raise the Chlorine of a pool.

That is how many chlorine free pools work. They add salt to the pool and use electrolysis.

Look for Nichola Tesla, there are people in the US and New Sealand that claim to have built water cars. They even hold water car sellouts... not hydrogen cars, real water cars. Hi,
I can answer your question regarding the fuel efficiency of a car with this HHO system feeding into the air intake. You are correct; eventually your alternator must work so hard to regenerate the electrical power that the system will not sustain a positive outcome. I tested this on my own car. Initially I had an increase from 24 to 36 mpg. Not bad, right? Over time (about 300 miles later) this gradually dropped to 21 mpg and drained my battery completely as I was driving it.

Nothing at all to do with the HHO.
HHO scams comes with instructions to change the oxygen sensor.
The car to run more lean, and so less fuel is used. However; your engine output is now less.
The overly lean mixture causes overheating, especially on the exhaust valves and piston tops. This causes burnt out exhaust valves and holes in pistons.
300 miles later mpg drops cause of this damage.
Cars also use oxy sensors to help predict MPG. Change sensor -- You can't trust the MPG reading your car.

UMMM, Dude. Do you know what Sodium HypoChlorite is? Read a clorox bottle. When you add a current to salt water you get CHLORINE!!! Ever hear of a Salt Water Pool? Well, when you add a "cell" to a salt water pool it adds current. That current uses the salt in the pool to create chlorine to disinfect the water. Use baking soda instead.

Thermodynamics, conservation of energy... you can't get more out of the reaction then you put into it (I believe). The energy used to break the molecule apart is regained when the hydrogen is burned... any heat generated during the process represents inefficiency. In other words the amount of work your alternator does to generate the hydrogen MUST (I believe) be less than or equal to the amount of energy regained when the hydrogen is burned in the engine... or am I wrong?
