Let's Get Crafty: Baby Diaper Cake Instructions

Video Description:
Items you will need: 60 diapers (get size 1, not newborn--or you will need a lot more diapers than this), lots of rubberbands, ribbon, embellishments, cake stand.
Instructions on how to made a three-tiered cake made entirely of baby diapers (Pampers, "nappies"). Mothers to bet love them. They make a fantastic centerpiece for the gift or sign in table at any baby shower.
I have made another cake of washclothes, hand towels and towels fitting for a housewarming gift and/or bridal shower. Look for that one as well!

I am going to guess that perhaps (not sure) the Parents Choice is not made as thick as other name brand diapers. I do know when I bought an off brand (from Toys R Us), I needed a lot more. Also, the size of the diaper has a lot to do with it as well. If you use size 1 or 2, you won't use as many. Newborn takes a LOT!!

How did you make that bow on the top of the cake? It seems to be more than a regular bow because it has more than two loops. My daughter is having a baby shower 10/26/08 and I would like to make a diaper cake center piece. Thanks.

Hi there! I am leaving on vacation in a couple of days, so the stress is on and I won't be able to get to making a video to show you that just yet. I was going to do a baby wreath and then time slipped away from me before the shower. So the next time there is a baby on the way, I'm doing the wreath and some other little decorations :)
