You train with him, ... ( 3 months ago by princetrumpet)
You train with him, whitebelt? Why don't you have the courage to post your name, then? After all, it's easy to say that about JW whom we all know. No one knows you yet you disparage anonymously. Therefore, it's easy to discern that it is you who are the fake.
Don't waste our time with that which you don't understand.
Interesting you say ... ( 2 months ago by CatzDaLegit)
Interesting you say this, but he has won so many competitions. How could you say he doesn't understand?
Your info is correct though based on location.
Yeah, and even ... ( 2 months ago by anithen)
Yeah, and even though I don't know JW personally, he scores major points, because I saw him in videos with Rza @ Hip Hop Chess conferences. That's mad cool.
Does anyone know ... ( 2 months ago by danni13371)
Does anyone know where I can see one of his games in chess?
Array ( 2 months ago by Hoopskidoodle)
Define "see."
You can download his games and run them in a chess program, such as Fritz. If you mean see a video, then you're on your own.
He's not that good compared with professional chess players. Just watch that kid, Magnus Carlson. He's the real deal (He's about 1000 times better than this guy) Josh became a mere IM at 16. Magnus Carlsen became a GM (Grand Master) at 13!!!
I wonder why these ... ( 2 months ago by Hoopskidoodle)
I wonder why these assholes gave you 6 thumbs down. I'd hazard that none of them actually know the guy. So, they have no facts upon which to dispute what you said. They're just pathetic sycophantic fanbois.
Array ( 2 months ago by Hoopskidoodle)
Bitch, please.
By that logic, you two scrubs would be USCF champions. Moreover, there are many GMs living right here in the United States. And, FIDE awards the GM title to people who compose and solve genius level chess problems.
If you had the juice, you'd be a GM.

Bobby Fischer woulda smashed this clown in chess
You're probably ... ( 1 month ago by thechules)
You're probably right. But Bobby Fischer lived exiled and crazy while this guy seems to live a rather peacefully existence. So what would you prefer?
what? fischer is ... ( 1 month ago by seansurfgood)
what? fischer is the best he would 'smash' anyone, but waitzkin is a brilliant player as well and is certainly not a clown..

ya im sure hes a good player, but i dont think he is even a GM, so ya know

lol bobby fischer is a legend, we may never see another like him
the fact that he ... ( 1 month ago by seansurfgood)
the fact that he never became a gm doesnt mean anything. he completely destroyed a gm at the age of 11 check out waitzkin vs. frumkin..
what do u mean it ... ( 1 month ago by slaviKn17)
what do u mean it never means anything? a GM is a GM..
look your point is ... ( 1 month ago by seansurfgood)
look your point is he's not good enough to be a gm and im saying he beat a gm at the age of 11 so that means he must be good enough to be a gm but just didnt have the drive to attain it.. end of discussion! :P
i agree. gm is a gm ... ( 1 month ago by sasoulas)
i agree. gm is a gm no matter what.
mayb the gm was on ... ( 1 month ago by slaviKn17)
mayb the gm was on coke, it seems hard to believe that a person who had a rating of 2400+ just didnt want to be a GM.. he was obviously involved in chess, my view is he wasnt good enough..
lol btw sorry for ... ( 4 weeks ago by slaviKn17)
lol btw sorry for calling josh a clown, he certainly isn't, i respect him highly, its just that i heard interviews with bobby where he was mad about the release of searching for bobby fischer b/c he wasnt getting any money for it
he won competitions ... ( 2 weeks ago by vibovitold)
he won competitions in Tai Chi, not in brazilian jiu-jitsu - there's hardly two more different martial arts :) (I do not comment on his attitude since I don't know him)
but Magnus is a ... ( 2 weeks ago by vibovitold)
but Magnus is a genius - not quite your average professional chess player, as you made it sound :)
Correction: as you ... ( 1 week ago by Hoopskidoodle)
Correction: as you inferred on your own. I didn't "make it sound" one way or the other. Moreover, I just picked that Magnus kid out of my ass. The comment would be just as valid if I'd mentioned any Grand Master. My point was that JW has no business being on the cover of a Chess Program. Vishy Anand, Magnus C., Kramnik, Judit Polgar etc... do.
you said " ... ( 1 week ago by vibovitold)
you said "professional chess players", not every professional chess player is a grandmaster, let alone a so-called super-grandmaster, like all the players you mentioned by name. of course Waitzkin has never been nearly as strong as they are and I'm not questioning *that*
I was talking about ... ( 1 week ago by Hoopskidoodle)
I was talking about the cover of a popular chess program. I didn't think is necessary to specifically omit mediocre professional chess players.

his tutorials weren't very helpful...
